There is nothing racist about voter ID laws. They are designed to protect against voter fraud.
There is also nothing wrong about stating that Obama has done a poor job with minority unemployment. Affirmative action is another policy that hurts minorities. It doesn't allow them the opportunity to earn admittance on their own merit.

edition.cnn.com/video/#/video/politics/2012/08/29/rnc-bts-condi-rice-nat-security.cnn?iref=videosearchThe GOP is not only racist as *cruiser* they are also power mongering psychopaths as Condi Rice's absurd speech here demonstrates. It's breathtaking to hear the woman who AS NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISOR failed to prevent 9/11 and then promoted and encouraged TWO WARS including the LONGEST WAR IN AMERICAN HISTORY blather on about how important it is to have a "real" technocrat in the White House like Mitt Romney. The most important immigrants are not poets, artists, teachers, peacemakers... but, you guessed it: "Engineers and scientists" responsible for "Silicon Valley" (which relies almost entirely upon China for manufacturing). These people are EVIL. They use the political power bestowed to them by an ignorant and frankly retarded electorate (look at the people in the audience- they are like entirely white fatasses with angry grimaces on their faces; plus what I can only imagine are GOP campaign donors because there are people wearing designer suits valued in the thousands of dollars) to conduct the most appalling abuses of human rights. Then they rewrite history to their liking. Hearing Condi endorse the military established as the foundation of American liberty and say trite double-speech platitudes such as, "peace really does come through strength" is like hearing AUGUSTUS CAESAR announce the next war against the Persians or something. Just insanity. Condi also wants another war in Syria. She prattles on and on about American freedom and exceptionalism but when it comes to her real politik agenda she says over and over that America has "NO CHOICE" and must continue to pursue its existing foreign policy strategy of imperialism. When it comes to domestic policy, Condi basically quotes GORDON GEKKO that "American greatness comes from ambition" which is like the same as just screaming "GREED IS GOOD!" She goes on about "The crisis in K-12" education being a "threat" to national security, which is amusing because of the Bush administration's role in promulgating that crisis. And be sure, Condi really means this: "The K-12 system is not well enough established to generate technocrats for our technocracy" To his credit; Fred Kaplan points out most of these issues in a recent article

As someone who someday hopes to see the retirement age LOWERED rather than raised and minimum wages matched to MAXIMUM wages I think it's safe to say that I would not be classified as a liberal in the contemporary American sense.

Actually Switch's posts are well articulated when compared to any other contributor to this board. "Pipe down" doesn't really qualify as a thoughtful response, as much as I might admire its sentiment.
In response to the OP, I believe the argument on voter fraud is that there really has not been any indication that voter fraud exists on a significant level, making the war against it seem costly and inordinate--except that the demographics likely affected will be the elderly and the poor, many of whom just so happen to be disproportionately of minority status, hence the claims of systemic racism. You have a tendency to identify me with these arguments, when in reality I am merely seeking your response to what I understand is the position you oppose. I don't have an opinion either way.

amino1 - if you do not want to be identified with these comments then you should stop making them.
There is nothing racist about stopping voter fraud. Disproportonate impact is only racist to namby pamby liberals. There is no deliberate attempt to deprive minorities of their vote. No one talks about actual racism like racial quotas.
