Except if the point is to endorse Romney, you don't highlight positions that Obama took, which Romney has no intention of reversing. Talking about Gitmo & Afghanistan serve no larger purpose, since Mitt clearly has no intentions of reversing those policies. Also, it was a rambling incoherent speech.

Are you quite certain that Romney and Obama do not differ at all in their Afghan strategy?

Are you quite certain that Romney and Obama do not differ at all in their Afghan strategy? To the point of view that Clint Eastwood holds, the only fundamental differences would favor Obama.

"voter fraud" is the republican state election boards reducing the hours a polling station is open when the polling station is in a minority or mostly democratic leaning community, but having the ones in republican districts open earlier and close later.
THAT is 'voter fraud'.
Old people and poor people are less likely to have a drivers license, even less likely they will have a passport. Get a free voter ID from the registry of motor vehicles? Sure, if you have a way to get there and you can take time off from work to go during the limited hours most DMVs are open. In a lot of non-urban poor areas the nearest DMV is 40-50 miles away - how is someone with no car and no public transportation supposed to get to there?
The concept of voterID laws is reasonable, but the consequences of them eliminate any hypothetical advantage they might provide and the way they are being pushed by (mostly) Republicans in order to lower voter turnout by Democrats is slimey and should be a criminal offense. (democrats are no better in general, but in this it's the repubs who are mostly to blame)

On a similar note, I thought this relates to the OP. Yes, it's from an HBO series and labeling the Tea Party the "American Taliban" may be too extreme, but I still think it is a great commentary on the current state of the political right. Which lie did you expose? Let's say I ask a question, like, why do people kill other people? And you respond by saying that, well, sometimes people get angry at each other and violence can then erupt; are you saying that I can then take your reply as somehow ENDORSING murder? You're creating a false dilemma by insisting that I need to stand by my beliefs; either I am with you or against you. It's inconceivable that I have an unformed opinion. You participate in ad hominem attacks by calling me a liar (twice!) and hew to your polemic with other accusations intended to further inflame (the definition of a troll). You then proceed to project your own froth and anger onto myself and others, even going so far as to hold others responsible for some imaginary slight ("the first stone"). You are beautiful, you know that? If you have an unformed opinion your posts wouldn't be concern troll attacks. They would be one or two sentence posts that state, "I would like more information on the subject." Posts that are exactly like the throwaway comments you make on your youtube videos when you don't understand the strategic significance of some maneuvers. They aren't drenched in silly counter factual statements that you "disclaim." And there is no false dilemma here. Either you believe the present GOP is racist, or you do not. There is no third 'nuanced' option. I thought this was about a completely different subject but now it's about youtube videos. It's fine that you don't like them, but can you support your claims here by citing specific examples? That would really make my day! Thanks in advance! --your #1 fan!

Can I or can I not hold a provisional opinion pending further information? Must I either agree with you or must I become subject to additional ad hominem attacks? It is not clear what you think here because you contradict yourself.
That said, you'll have to excuse me for mistaking you for a troll. I had assumed your purpose was merely to inflame, but now I know you are sincere in your proselytizing attempts. You'll understand how I could have made this error.
Your "credible" response wasn't really a response at all but a redundancy. The GOP is not racist, because it... is not racist? I admire your attempt at circular reasoning, but my understanding of the issue is not enriched. After re-reading my own and other responses in this thread, I am forced to conclude that you are merely engaging in Ignoratio Elenchi. "I would like more information on the subject." Where is it?

Now that Ron Paul is retired, there is no candidate in any party I'd consider voting for except maybe his son Rand. As Americans, we like our options. We like having lots of variety in movies, food, clothing, music, etc. Then comes politics where the only variety is: Who is less retarded? What kind of variety is that for the country considered, "Leader of the Free World?"

Gary Johnson is saner than Ron Paul ever was and a much better libertarian.
