Personally, I hope SP either loses, or has to fight through some epic losses to take the win this year. I can see how they are favored to win, but they certainly are not my favorite.

That's why this Saturday we are hosting a friendly "Get to know SP day" . We want you to want us to win as bad as we want to win.
So come, bring your friends, your girlfriend, your family, whomever, and come down this Saturday to Gonen's Bridge to meet SP.
1:00 PM EST - CAPLOCKED yelling racial slurs.
3:30 PM EST - GKG teaches the kids how to rush.
5:00 PM EST - GKG teaches how to get triple land wighted.
7:00 PM EST - Paris explains the side effects of mixing certain pills with certain drugs.
8:00 PM EST - We team stack vs. random conglomerate of people who have just reinstalled after 8 years and let Spike captain the opposing team.
9:00 PM - We wrap things up, half our team will go to play D3 and leave the event, the other half will start earnestly drinking, and talking about how fucked they are.
After that the night can go anywhere as inebriated folks tend to wander in and out.
And when we are all done, I bet, no I guranfuckingtee you that you will be proud to call the MWC 2012 champions SP. If we even win.

Ok I'm bored at work and I stumble across this thread, which is much hilarity. Hey R3, who the hell was calling tcox 4 ballers? Flat just acknowledged he is 3 balls. I'm sure cave is too for being as inactive as he is just like the rest of their team. Well I'd like to think I'm more like 3.5 balls GKG. Please don't hurt my feelings. That's the point of the forums isn't it? |

I think we need 1 or 2 players for our team so we can actually show up with more than just Me, Ram, Storm, Gamer, Cave (who will be absent for 1-2 weeks now?) Cu or Myrk want to play with a real 3 baller like myself?  Suppose I would if registration weren't closed. Angry Face/Coxens were always the most fun to team with and I'd have just teamed with you guys since 2001 if everyone hadn't quit myth or gone horribly inactive. If you up for playing whatever matches we have left for a bit of fun/nostalgia I'll see if grim will let me boot truth (who will never show) and add you. Even though reg is closed? |

I truly hope it will. I'll go ahead and say I'll make an extra effort to have the match run smoothly. A match with squabbling and name calling really takes the focus away from the game, which is what were here for!

Agreed Yep one of us had to go and save mid. We both went although I got there first. The herons getting through was definately 50% my fault as I was tunnel visioned intent on rushing a mid that had 2 morts waiting to blast me. Partially agreed. They did keep killing dorfs but i think losing the archer battle was rather important here also. Like i said in post though, the only reason they could keep rush our dorfs like that was for the most part that melee was never kept close enough to the dorfs to protect them from the queens. I think like everytime a dorf or archer got spid rushed it's supporting melee was far too far away to protect it from that. On the flipside r3 always had their melee right up on there dorfs and archs making it potential suicide to ever rush them with the spids. Disagree. Watching film may seem that S was even? I don't see how though and in the game itself it felt like south was perhaps even continually under more pressure than north even though south lasted longer. I felt in game the trowing from both teams did little to affect the outcome of the game much at all let alone win it for either team. I feel both trowers basically did the same thing with no standout and no effect on the result of the game. Thinking either trow had much impact in actually winning this game is just crackers. [/quote] Partially agreed. Wasted their advantage north. They retreated mid maybe because our mid pushed + 2 seperate warrior flanks were pinching their mid from south and southwest. The dud pus was lucky but luck is part of this game, I've been the recipient of a lucky dud pus like that probably the same amount of times I've had an awesome pus or mort shot or whatever of my own dud. Regardless I had my own pus ghol + a dorf right there with me so I might not have cleaned up like I did without the dud but I still had that shit covered. Garbage. Someone needed to go help our mid which was being lolraped. Me going mid was absolutely nothing about ratios but about saving our mid/killing theirs and then proceeding to try to win the game. I guess you could say i abandoned the east flank but I got to mid first and the east flank never got rushed or died while i did that. Flag died because neither ram (who was east) or myself (who was east and went to help mid) noticed their heron pack run straight up between the 2 of us. Bleh again. R3 won both north and south. r3's trow sort of helped take flag 3 (ne) to give them a flag lead but that flag was maul+krid rushed and it was going to be lost regardless of whether either trow intervened. Flag was gone without any trow support. Their trow took flag 5 also but at that point it didnt matter since they had a flag lead and we had no way of getting either of 2 of their remaining flags. Luck is an integral part of the game, this is certain. Dont think it changed the outcome though. Luck is always good to have though. Myth is fun. |

looks like upon review of the films that Flat wasn't as good as he thought he was. Oh the irony. Well there is always room for improvement. Especially in my Myth2 Soulblighter melee. I look forward to you giving me some tips on it, after all you did indeed invent it. |

Lol flat we didnt know that was you! I was wondering why q kept getting fg and trow duty. Funny quote from ksi after the match, "If flat was there it would have been more even" You are right in your game assessments tho there were at least two that were close. Whether we won or lost I would have enjoyed the games, not many teams I can say that about. There's something to be said about a team that plays well and don't act like assholes. My team for example, we lost 1-4 but I still had fun playing. Who knows flat, maybe we meet again. Would have been more even if we had a couple more people I guess. I'm not enough to make a game changing difference when we are all (myself included) inactive or rust ridden. 1 or 2 more people so we could field 6 or 7 players would be nice. I felt we should have absolutely won Game 2 with the fgs. Game 1 i felt we were on our way to winning that also before hg pack got through. Although thats basically just the feeling I had in game it could have gone anywhere since the %'s were still high and a lot of time in the game left. So a little early to call it the same as game 2. Game 3 and 4 at no point did i feel we were winning or were going to win. Regardless were fun games even if my connection was frustrating. Would be cool to play again with better attendance but only way I see that happening is if we pick up 1-2 active people who will show and somehow pull out a Hand of Allah style run for a couple of games. Not likely to happen. |

You succeeded in creating one of the more interesting and hilarious threads in the forum.
and to think when cave asked me to play this year that I wasn't going to play or show up.
Would have missed the fun.
