Should we have a say in maps

Alright so i think that each team should have a say about which maps are to be played for the mwc, if not, the community as a whole.
We could probably try a few methods...
-The community gives their suggestion (1 map each person); the TOs then cut down the maps and we vote,
-Or the TOs suggest maps first and we vote on which one to play,
-Or each mwc team leader gets to decide maps for their own matches

Once i get clear results from the poll we could probably discuss this further

Yeah the last thing we need is 15 people trying to argue for their map to be played that week, I could give a shit what maps we play, my team is going to win regardless of the map cause we are awesome at everything especially this game, I'm very content to bitch about the map pick after the fact.

Players won't have any more or less to say about the maps than they have had previously. Good new map suggestions can make it in.

However, as I said in the thread like this in 2006: There is no situation where the map selection for the tournament is going to be universally praised. Some people like map set A, some prefer B and some lean more towards C. C hates A, B hates C and A hates B. Either way we can all hate on the TO for selecting such shitty maps.

this is good: mwc wouldn't be mwc without someone complaining about the rules. as the tournament progresses you should become increasingly annoying and rage at grim over every suboptimal decision he makes (there will be many). success will be measured by how many people through your posts. the bar has been set high by mythers such as myself and dac, but with persistence you can make grim regret agreeing to TO another mwc. (hint: the substitute system is a good place to start.)

Adren quit being an assfuck. If you're against the suggestion, then vote 'no'. Channel your rage onto a pillow or something; you're not gaining anything online.
Grim ~ how about out of the 5 maps, each team suggests 1 map they want to play, so in total the teams play
1 map by team A
1 map by team B
3 maps by the TOs
(assuming there are 5 games being played)

This would help greatly as every second match seems to be flag rally or stampede or assassin or soemthing.
