Assuming you're not joking, it's the little "flick" after clicking with left click that aims your formation. With right click you can actually hold it down as long as you want, which I like. This isn't possible with left click since it needs to disambiguate with box selection.
Typically I don't like UI that has a built-in delay, so I disable gesture-click on the LMB (thus selection boxes are instant) and use RMB instead.

Right click attack ground seems to be less accurate.

I guess you have to learn to flick that arrow quickly and precisely, I don't think I'd have any use for the right click gesturing now. Punkuser, you basically use the left click for selection and the right click for movement?
Not sure about the right click deselect either, I can't think of a situation where I'd want to deselect everything and not select anything in place. Maybe if it would deselect individual units and you could draw a "deselection box", I'd consider it. Right now you can basically do the same with the left click almost as fast.

Punkuser, you basically use the left click for selection and the right click for movement? Right, with the one quirk that right now right click will still select stuff as well, which I'd like to have a way to disable. Then it would operate fairly similarly to other RTS games too that use right click actions.
