This is already in the rules but incase you haven't read it on each team page the players have a rating from 1-10 next to their name. If you are missing a player you may replace them with a sub rated = to or lower than the person missing.
Ex: Karma is rated a 9 and if he can't make a match they may replace him with anyone rated 9 or below without needing permission from the other team.

I still may change it to a 7 but he really is an 8, heck he was a 9 when he is active. Anyways the sub system is to help ensure that both teams can play 7vs7 not to help a team abuse the system to improve their roster.

You have a group of 2 - 4 ballers all lumped together! Also in general you overrate everyone who registered a bit. I get that it makes the sub system easier, but according to your rankings the average player registered or subbing for this tournament is a 6.7 (obviously goal would be an average of around 5).
Fixed it for you! (Not suggesting you change these as you'd have to change the other rankings as well, just for lols)

Yeah I didn't rate them exactly how good they are in order for more subs to be available and the main person I was questioning was me rating Cu to high and maybe storm a 6 instead of 7(haven't seen him play in awhile), But I got more lols from your list than mine. Abs a 5 and browning,bone,ska,grim and duan all rated higher? Abs is clearly a better player than all of those players...I didn't put captaining into the equation bc I figured a sub would not cap.
oh yeah also my rating system is pretty close to these ball ratings
1-3 balls = 1 baller
4-5= 2-2.5
6-7= 3-3.5
8-9=4-4.5
10= 5

1. Hey CU! Mission accomplished  2. Asmo - you can always nitpick at individual rankings. Could abs be ranked ahead of them? Definitely. It'll never be an exact science, but logic should tell you that if you're going to use a 1-10 rating scale (especially one that determines subs) you want the average player to be rated pretty close to 5. By pushing ratings higher you ended up with 18 "7"s and 3 5s which just sort of screws with things. Basically you rated everyone low 3 balls or higher 7 or higher, when really they should be spread out from 5, 6 & 7. Also, while lumping people higher up keeps you from hurting anyone's feelings, half the fun is the drama that comes from really ranking people against each other. This is more for how future tournaments could be improved as it's a pretty minor criticism. |
