So i believed we were doing a different kind of draft, where the captains would be in a game together choosing players from the draft list.
I wrote this a few days ago as a mock draft in light of that idea.
Draft Tournament Analysis
With a 6 team draft, we can analyze the players and captains and perhaps pick some of the draft order.
Captains :
GKG: a 3 time mwc champion and 2 time captain of mwc championship teams, GKG is the most versatile captain in this tournament. If you are under his command, prepare to be well informed about what you'll need to accomplish in order to prevail. It also helps having one of the top BC players of the community captain your team.
Homer: A 2 time mwc champion who hasn't captained much since earlier days in his myth carrer, Homer will bring humor and his recent successes to the table.
Ratking: An up and coming threat who won this years winter-spring tournament, Ratking has, from time to time, proven he can capably captain a squad. However, he still has much to prove and perhaps this draft tournament will be able to highlight his success.
Karma: Kramer, born in the fires of world war 2 has been in multiple mwc finals and even won a few years. He is a threat, unpredictable, and I believe his captaining abilities haven't been tested since the Raziel Reigeme would be toppled in random rabble games by him, myself and Clank. As a captain he should be able to fill any role and, once armed with a few playmakers and heavy hitters, should see some success.
Cremisi: Another up and coming threat who often shared captaining duties for Ratking's underdog teams, cremisi has become a respected member of the community for his clever mspaint paintings and wightings of honkeys. While he may speak the least english out of all of the captains, he is still able to communicate and formulate plans; occasionally for success.
Asmodian: Who else could wear the Trow Belt? Asmodian is not only hosting his first tournament, he's willing to captain. While Asmodian has captained teams before and has his share of upset-victories, this tournament will not doubt be a test of his organizing abilities, not only as a TO but as a team captain as well.
Round 1:
Tirri - Tirri has seen his fair share of tournament victories and defeats alike, and is easily one of the top picks.
Chickenwire - CW was one of the heavy hitters of np long before tirri stepped into their ranks, and always supplies the firepower.
Ghengis Khan- Arguably the top draft pick of the year, very few can match up with Ghengis 1 on 1.
Arzenic - Always solid, always reliable. Speaks few words, actions speak louder.
Cave - Sometimes underrated, sometimes forgotten, but always makes an impact on this community year after year.
Adrenaline - Is adrenaline a top 6 pick for this draft? I would say it is possible, but his availablity is questionable and his absense during MWC really cost his team a lot of trouble.
Round 2:
Paris - No need for introduction here, the #7 pick could even squeeze into the first round. 4 mwc rings, a great team player on and off the field, but may not be as motivated or available as other players towards the end of the summer.
Dantski - You can't go wrong with this pick here. Dantski has been one of the better players on myth for years. Hell I remember when he was still in Alliance making a mockery of anyone who attempted coop games as he usually outperformed them.
Myrk - While Myrkridon has had little success with team play, but carries with him individual success in years of overpopulation, he will no doubt be one of the players picked sooner in this draft rather than later. Will he be able to get along with his team, or will that team come up short with their pick by being unable to satisfy him? Time will tell.
Professional Killer - I'm surprised PK was interested in playing myth after mwc, but it seems he'll be around. He's another up and coming player who is still learning to master the game but can play fairly well! Availability and time zones might be an issue, but he could make a 2nd round pick very worth while.
Cruniac - A returning vetran who hadn't played since 2004, Cruniac has spent the last two tournaments going from 2nd place to 1st place, including winning his first MWC title. A player who goes beyond the simple field of battle and will get into your head, Cruniac is a lethal weapon waiting to strike, and craving more success.
Gekko - Gekko should be a picked a bit sooner on this list, but his absense during Week 1 will surely cost his team more than if he would be available. Regardless, Gekko is still one of the top players in this game and is a worthwhile pick, although it is up to the captains to decide if his worth is garnished in the 2nd round or as a sleeper pick in the 3rd or 4th.
Round 3
Slate - A versitle FFA player who is still on the rise of his learning curve
Captain - A longtime vet from the days of TFL demo, you won't want to pass this guy up!
Honkey - Once had dreams of making a superstar team, then got involved with a franchize only to bow out due to his problems with substance abuse. Still, if he's not getting your stampede targets wighted or posting conspiracy theory rants in the forums, honkey should be able to come to the table with ideas.
Ramirez - An old player of Thundercox, Ram was also in the mwc2k1 finals! Not to mention the mwc2k5 2k6 and 2k7 finals. He is a funny guy with a good personality, who can handle any role fairly well. One time he put on a show with his 3 trow which left blades panties wet and inner thigh moist.
Flatline - Another Tcox old timer who has shared his views throughout the forum, Flatline will be productive for any squad.
Blonde - Formerly known to be Mr. Blonde, he is a solid player who doesn't have a terrible personality
Round 4
Sormion - Sorm does work, he might get picked early in round 3, but is long past his prime.
Stone Cold - A ww2 player who rolls around with Cruniac, SC is a former admin and isn't too bad at this game (at least when cruniac is using his account)
Wwo - A vetran player who showed back up to join the Hand of Allah squad in 2005. Some players don't know much about wwo, but he should be chosen around round 4.
Drunken - The leader of deer, will he really be picked this soon in the draft? Only time will tell, but expect enthusiasm if you do in fact choose him.
Myth Zombie (BAGRADA) - Bagrada is an interesting character, and while he thinks he knows it all and he knows how to behave in the myth lobby this is not always true. It's really up to the team's captain to mold this player into something that can be beneficial for the team, or the pick will be a waste.
Father Xmas - Xmas is one of those players who touched the learning curve, and is french. I can foresee him being a late 4th round pick or a 5th round pick.
Round 5:
These players aren't BC champions, but they do know how to click units here and there. Blunders aside, each of these players have their own strengths and weaknesses, from Gimble, to light maps, to hacking maps, to hosting illegal freeware version of myth 2, smoking bongs, Shoutcasting on Youtube, speaking with southern accents, and the like. They will most likely be picked later in the tournament, but should be chosen before the round 6 picks.

Round 6
- I don't really know these players, they'll probably be picked later in the draft and shouldn't be relied on for big roles. However, when your round 6 pick does step up to the plate and is able to get on base, it will be a shining moment for your team, as a team, to be a 'team'.
