The most amusing part of UA being eliminated was BTT getting an FGless trade on acts, which was the deciding map.

Another upset although it wasnt considered a HUGE upset at the time was in MWC2000.
NP in 2K i think maybe won their QR pool? Beating down the previous years finalist time BMF in the QR. Somehow NP lost to Clan Plaid (LOL) in de 1 i think. In retrospect this was a pretty big upset as NP went a long way in bottom bracket that year and had an ultra tight controversy ridden match with the eventual winners of 2K SF (civil) that they barely lost.
Another couple of notable upsets were in NML2. (not mwc i know). NP in NML2 got beat in the first elimination round by Evil Inc (EI) and elimnated which was a rather big upset i think. 9CoH (me henry ram ss etc) eliminated Civil (Tribal) in the second elimination round which was considered a pretty big upset also. Think it was the last time civil played as such in a tournament and even though they didnt have guttermouth I think they were expected to win that tournament.

Including the honorable mention, I was in 4 of these matches. Tcox 04/06 and HOA 05. HOA/UA in 05 was the biggest due to our performance up to that point and the fact that we went down 2-0 in the series and were getting the primest Fagne shit talk ever produced. Tcox's 06 run was impressive as a whole, but nobody under the sun thought we would beat UA in 05 Yeah i think HoA-UA was maybe the biggest upset of ones listed. Clank ~1 of the only mythers ever to get pussy from myth.

Well Phod himself posted in his "best teams ever" or something article pretty much what I just posted about 9c-civil. He didnt mention ruiner but he did say gm wasnt there but still admitted we were the first team ever to knock civil out of a team tournament or something like that. I think we played Phod / Odin / Naelot + a few other civil members which i dont know the identities of who was who.

Oh even funnier i just found the brackets etc from mwc05 in bone's film pack. HOA in bottom bracket barely beat FCOMM and then REALLY barely beat PooP and then won 3-2 vs asmo's team TLE before beating UA. Considering our abysmal qr, people quitting, us sucking and barely beating mediocre teams and such I think in retrospect it was even more of an upset

The most amusing part of UA being eliminated was BTT getting an FGless trade on acts, which was the deciding map. Not sure what was more hilarious them going fg less or us taking 30 wolves on mjil stamp and ua taking 2Found films in bones film pack and seeing us take 30 slow ass wolves on mjil stamp when UA took 2 and had about 3 times our units as a result made me *cruisering* laugh so hard at the terribleness of what we did in that game.

1. NFDF over Greek Gods (tcox) 2004To me this is the biggest upset that I can remember. Going into mwc 2004 (the first one I participated in) NOBODY was expecting NFDF to finish anywhere near the top 4. The only players on the roster that you may recognize now days were Duan,CRC and Muse...The only other player I can remember off the top of my head is Gastank. NFDF finish above many other solid teams in a very competitive 36 tournament including Greek Gods, lame (civil, bmf and rable mix),Ghetto Cakes(a cacra mix with a few gtm and henry),Evil Agents,Poop, and WP. we also beat SYN in the qr, that was the first upset of this mwc 04 (if u forget BB beating GURU). anyway NFDF was a pretty strong team, but unlike what u say, muse wasnt playing for us back then, he only joined nfd in 2005 and he was playing for nfdf in 2006. also u forgot delph who was 1 of the best japanese players, and who retired after mwc04. our closest match was probably vs ghetto cakes, we only won by 0.5 pts i think. GC was winning 2-0 and leading in game 3. but for some reason it was rhed, and nfdf won the rest of the games. match vs GG was close too, but a little less intense

lrcg beating smurfs 2006 SAS beating TCox TWS1 LPak (Me + ooh) beating r3 TWS2
Last one is possibly the greatest upset ever, aside from myself every person on our roster was worse than anyone on theirs.
