X-Factor mwc12
Alright before I write this short article an "x-factor" is the players with high reward potential for their perspective teams and if these players can deliver more often than not they can take their team deeper in this tournament then expected.
AGE
Aki is the one player on this team that has potential to do some good things without the other team blundering to give his team an opportunity. If AGE plans on finishing ahead of gru,deer, and tw he will need to come up with solid heavy hitting play on a consistent basis.
GRU
Their x-factor is gimble. If grim is able to rig the tournament so that they play gimble ctf three times in their next match they have a shot...but for real I can't name a certain player for this team that has a high reward potential so the x-factor is the captain. Whoever captains this team needs to keep his players in good position and force the other teams to make mistakes, maybe this will allow them to win one match in this tournament.
Deer
Supposedly Deer is actually a decent team now; I haven't watched one of their matches so I can't confirm or deny this, but by looking at their roster I would have to say that Placid has a chance to do some good things for this team. If he can play aggressive but smart he might be able to be a game changer and be able to finish above the other teams in their tier (tw,age,gru).
Time Wizards
This is a team that actually has a bunch of decent players on it but for some reason they haven't been able to put it all together. Assuming that HH caps for this team I see two players on their roster that might be able to play above average at times. I think with the combination of StoneCold and OD(who has actually had some good tournament play in the past) this team can out power the three other teams that they are competing with.
R3
When I look at the r3 roster I don't see too much quality but for the lack of quality they have they manage to make up for it from being pretty organized and knowing what they want to do coming into the match. A player that has impressed me on this team is Hmp. Hmp was the main reason why Mental was able to breakthrough and make a good showing a few mwc's ago. I question wether he can do it again now that he is on a team that won't be overlooked. according to Ratking R3 is going to take down a "high profile victim" for this to happen hmp will need to play like he did for mental.
Tcox
I watched a few of the Tcox games vs SP and from what I saw Tcox needs a commitment from one of their traditional captains to do well. I don't think they will manage to pull off and upset or may even struggle to win vs R3 this weekend without Stormrider or Crc[/color] stepping up to cap allowing their most active players cave,gamer, and flatline to take on the main bcing duties.
Silent Sentinels
This team clearly has some bcing skills as showed in the match vs "My Team" and Chron can match up against the other top Heavi Hitters, but for this team to break into the top four Lizard King will have to play at his top level against the top competition being the one-two punch along with Chron allowing the rest of their players to play within their roles.
My Team
Rabican the drunken fin is clearly the x-factor for me. If he shows up drunk and plays derp mode then he will be a liability for this team against the top two, but if he manages to play like we know he can then My Team might arguably be able to field the best 7 player roster out of any team in this tournament.
NC
This team clearly has top talent but when you compare their best seven to the other top two teams best seven I think it is clear that there are holes in the roster (especially if Nemesis doesn't show up and the lost of EW). To be able to make up for the lack of "top level" depth Shaister is going to need to get back to his old dominate ways of LL&L and help carry this team back to the finals.
SP
This team is the favorite to win it according to most players, but in my eyes they are only favorites to win it if GKG is an active player for them. He is only the x-factor for this team due to inactivity? (hard to tell with their surf names). If he shows up for them and they filled their best roster this team is really unmatched and should win a second straight myth world cup.
