More often than not these are tactics that are difficult if not impossible to pull off in a rabble game, as teammates are either lacking skill, care, or obedience to their captain.
Nevertheless when they do succeed, they are an awesome display of what real strategy can achieve when two equally numbered opponents face each other.
My personal favorite which I can almost never pull off, is the bait and rush on maps like desert.
Presenting a weak and slow flank to an enemy dumb enough to chase your weaker flank without scouting first, this foolhardy sucker will chase you into the pinch point of the river, and then when his organized formations have become a mob of disorganized soldiers in blind blood lust chasing your small squad, you can release the hounds and crush his flank unawares with your hidden rush of melee and puss from the back corner of the map where they were hiding ALL ALONG! LOL.
Now this guys has to face to fronts and superior numbers + puss. If you do it right you should utterly crush him.
Other advanced myth tactics include...

From WW2:
The famous Heal-RPG maneuver of which I've only seen RZA pull that off.

i heard if you're really craft you can pus some units before you attack them. that way you have some free time to kill them before they fight back

She's a witch!
Also if you spacebar your thrall and let an enemy hit you, thrall will usually get the next hit in, amazingly useful to kill low health vetted warriors.

Sasper taught me just the other day how to FAKE UP your opposing warlock.
When you are about to fireball your warlock, you press taunt shortly after to stop letting loose the fireball !! FAKED HIM UP ! You can then get some ground on your opposing enemy warlock, when he turns to shoot you unleash the beast and ........ Profit !

I'd call that a part of strategy rather than tactics, since that weak & slow flank is so useless outside of that very limited purpose, and is so clearly pre-meditated. But let this not devolve into semantics.

I assigned spacebar as a taunt for "FAKING UP". Mainly for ww2 but it's very useful in the reg setting aswell. Sometimes leads to some amazing blunders when units are taunted instead of stopped. Also if you have a fast unit like ghol, zerk or myrk etc. and you run towards a lock who shoots you. Turn your unit 180 degrees and run to opposing direction. The ball should explode without hitting you. (will explode where you should be had you not turn around). Only works if your unit turns around without stepping to right or left... I think. Always use ctrl click with dorfs. Always. Aim to the feet.
What's that heal-rpg maneuver?

the 180 degree turn to stop lock shots only works when your opponent noob clicks, obviously. which is why you should never noob click. i do this to people with my trow on pg all the time, and sometimes it makes their lock kill the rest of their arty. which is funny. and i disagree with always ctrl-clicking with dorf. noob clicking with dorf can often give you extra distance off hills and shorter tosses when your dorf is being attacked by mellee. but yes, 90% of the time, ctrl-clicking is the better choice.
I thought most of these "advanced tactics" being listed were known by all at this point in myth... apparently I was wrong.

I was talking about strategery I guess not so much unit control, but I hear shift + T heals all your herons at the same time, in case you were dumb enough to get them all damaged at once, which I often do in KG Koth, it just seems easier to me to run into a giant explosion than continue to click around in a circle dodging bombs for the next 6 minutes.

it's not a simple as JUST shift+T to heal all herons, you have to shift+T on the central heron, otherwise they will all just heal 1, or sometimes 2 will heal themselves, and one will heal another. Very useful in KG koth, yes, especially after barely surviving a puss bombing.

What's that heal-rpg maneuver? This is where you heal an enemy soldier at the exact instant they zook you and instead of them zooking you they drop the RPG at their feet and explode.
