I think it must of been 1.0 at least but 1 ghol was always allowed to reach sb as a warning.
There has been changes to great library for sure because you can not trigger all three waves at the same time like in previous versions.

ok where you want the replays sent? I will show you the issues but they are not "issues" more like easter eggs.

Zip up the films. In your post there is a "attachment" option. Use that or any hosting site that lets you upload files for free.
By the way from the 3 maps, only one was altered by Bungie for version 1.3. They fixed it so you did not lose control of the jman if he went back into the library after getting out of it. Other than that, they are as they were in 1.0.

Btw if hosting space on this forum is a problem, just post it on thetain forums. People regularly attach films there for review of issues. Ideally provide a film of the latest public version behavior vs. whatever version behaves differently.

I just tested the claims of Ermine + Great Library not working at before. As expected they work the same as they always have.
As for Murder of Crows, is there a random element to where the last crystal is placed? Sometimes its in the cave right next to SB's camp and its much harder to win with it there. Regardless one ghol getting to SB has always been enough for him to come fight you, don't know why Drunken thinks its 2.

I like how magma gets involved with these forums now that the tournament is over. Wonderful, great timing guys, as usual. Why fix something that is not broken? Perhaps some people associated with magma, such as godzfire, who have never met the learning curve of myth in the past 12 years of it's availability require more patches to make the game more simple for them to master. However, these people have no respect for actually learning to play the game. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if the last 4 or 5 patches all had something to do with plugin related issues, such as Mazzarins Demise. With that said, maybe said people should learn how to actually play the game before any more changes are made. I really don't mind spending the two minutes to dl some patch for the only PC game I play and point fingers at everyone with red-outdated patches next to their name once they join a game. Yet, I still haven't seen a tournament based on deathmatch, which was an original bungie feature (I believe i can recall pressing T on my wights for years on some map just to watch everything destroy itself while waiting for someone to get off the phone so I can 'dial back up', but have seen (and won) a tournament based on vTFL. This confuses me as Deathmatch is a completely different way to play Myth 2 and many people simply skip over this option. As if losing your units and sitting to watch the rest of a game is more enjoyable than constantly using them for the entirety of the game, what a shame. Props to the community and players for their work and playing, but why are we still doing the same thing over and over when the winners are fairly pre-determined almost every time? Props to magma for their work, but what else really needs to be added or augmented for this game in 2012? Nothing, besides players. Besides marketing, advertisement. Sure, some people 'won't play myth 2' due to 'outdated graphics', and checking out a piece of art in remastered high definition isn't the same as the original, but that is really the only thing left to do here. Plastic surgery, make it pretty. Regardless, I don't see why any more updates are really necessary if the demand for these changes, due to their necessity or an influx of players (who of course would want this game more simpler for them to master as to hop on the learning curve sooner), is not really there at all.Post script: Here's a link for drunken in case he missed it. myth.bungie.org/legends/fieldguide/fs20_murder_crows.html

In fact I wouldn't be surprised if the last 4 or 5 patches all had something to do with plugin related issues, such as Mazzarins Demise. Here's the patch notes for you to read for 1.7.2: projectmagma.net/downloads/myth2_172/Readme_1.7.2.pdf. (You'll also find it in your Myth directory.) As I've mentioned earlier in the thread, the big ones are fixing keyboard input, lowered netgame latency, performance on lower-end machines (although even on high-end machines it's relevant). Pretty much all the gameplay-related bug fixes are general as well (dwarf satchel laying w/ attack ground, ignoring orders while delivering killing blows, etc.). There's also other stuff like support for 2560x1600 that while it may not affect you right now is pretty important for those of us with 30" monitors I do encourage you all to skim the fixes to get an idea of what really goes into a patch rather than whatever impressions you may have. For 1.8 I personally have been working on competitive/tourney features like improving stats, replays, etc. so I imagine some of that will be interesting to this crowd. It's still not too late to get in requests to that end too if you have good ideas

I like how magma gets involved with these forums now that the tournament is over. Wonderful, great timing guys, as usual. I do believe that the Project Magma and Marius.Net forums are open 24/7/365. If you had issues with something, which it certainly seems like you do, what stopped you from posting it there? Here is a link to each patch readme which contain the changelogs. Go through them, please. See how many are directly related TO a plugin that uses features introduced in the newer versions. You will see 5, maybe 10% at best. The vast majority of changes made to the game are related to fixing/improving the code/performance of the game and keeping it compatible with today's hardware/software. In fact, taking a look at 1.7.2 changelog, there are 80 total changes from 1.7.1. Exactly 5 (raising certain map-making limits) could be considered changes due to a plugin that uses features introduced in the newer versions, and ZERO have any effect on gameplay.

Make sure you kill all 3 frogs and don't let Rurik die. You still have to end the map with Rurik in the town and no enemies inside before it is a success.

if i have a duff/lock/whatever and am being chased by the enemy, and control click to attack, then quickly click to retreat without holding cntrl, it treat the second click as a cntrl click, so attack my own own units. or have to wait about half a second or so before myth realises cntrl is no longer being held. its really annoying when you're in the middle of a battle This delay has now been removed for 1.8. (For the record it had been that way since 1.0) I'll be periodically checking this thread so if anyone has any other legitimate issues you can post them here to have them heard and considered for fixing. PS. drunken, feel free to apologise for spreading FUD about magma now that your false claims have been debunked.
