congrats on living in a nightmare country that cares more about colonizing the world and subsidizing the rich than educating its own population. Keeping children all over the world with enough food in their faces so they dont starve to death and technology that will help us keep a *cruisering* asteroid from smacking into our blue marble in space are about 100000000000 X more important then sending assholes who dont think earth is the best place to live to a fuking planet 5 billion miles away so they can live in singlewide trailers and not be able to go outside ever.
What a waste of decades of super smart people all over the world using their brain to come up with ways to leave the most bitchin place in the universe. Space exploration does have some cool side effects, it gave us velcro and TANG!

it makes me sad in my heart when people don't see the benefits of space exploration.
cu (?) your graphic grossly overstates the nasa budget as well. $100 billion would be the sum of the last 5 years of the nasa budget rolled into a single project. pretty sure this was not the only thing nasa has done in the last 5 years. if they had the kind of funds to blow $100b on a single mission we would most definitely have human space exploration

I love guns, stock piles of ammo, stupid video games, big over sized TV's, most of what switch is talking about. Does not mean im ok with what people do with them. Moving arms illegally is most certainly bad. Leads to some terrible events. But if weapons are taken away from the public how are we responsible people to defend ourselves? Does anyone think gun control laws are going to stop any of this? Ever read anything about prohibition?
Im with cu on the mars thing. Couldn't we post pone that for a few years until things really start to turn around?
