Yes, R3.
The 5th seeded team that lost to deer in QR. Before a match review I will discuss a few other things. First off, paris's tournament was a success. Though the teams were not exactly even, it gave everyone a chance. What you did with it was up to you and your team.
Because we were a TB champs, we would be given SD if we lost the best of 7 series. SD was won by winning 2 games in a row. Now that everyone knows the rules i'll continue on.
The best of 7 series was played 6v4 and we lost 0-4. It was paris, abs, homer, crun, bronson, and spike. R3 had myself, gekko, cremisi, and ksiaze. Falcon joined us for the last game and I will discuss that later as well.
Like I said, we got owned until SD. Even lost the first game of that. However, for an undermanned team to come back at that point took heart. A lot of it. Many of our DE matches we had a player advantage. No such advantage here. But I digress. The second game of SD was an un-played finals map. Like the snow going thru your nose or something. Think desert with snow. Paris's trade was very balanced. Ours (capping done by gekko) was much more meele heavy. I was south with a rush set and gekko had a smaller set (later bigger) as well. We were faced with crun and abs. Crun and abs had a small rushes. Bronson came to help as well when gekko's full force arrived. Now that mid was thinned out, cremisi did the unthinkable and just stole their mid ball. However it did get stuck in the water on their side. Gekko also stole their ball at home, but also got stuck N on their side. While both of these balls got stuck, their work was done giving the rest of us an opening. After some chest puffing S was left to abs and I. When gekko got mid and rushed, I did the same S. I won due to a bad puss by abs, lost little units. Mid battle was assisted by gekko wig'n and rushing in. This allowed crem to sneak his thrall in under the ball that was stuck mid. I came N (wig also) and wighted and rushed. Other balls were secured giving us the win. Much thanks to gekko's brilliant capping and strategy. Top dmg and kills went to me.
OK, this led to the final game of SD. It was our pick, and we chose creep terries. Gekko capped again and falcon (thank god) joined us to make it 5-6 players. The thought of losing tws crept into the minds of 47, some of them didn't know at first that they were one game from defeat. Trades went much the same, we went more duff heavy, they went more meele heavy. Ksi and I had rush units going N. Cremisi and falcon had arc units mid. Gekko had south and mixed units. For 47: homer and bronson south (mixed), abd and crun N (rush), and spike and paris mid (mixed). We were pushing N when paris came to help. We moved back. Now, bronson was crossing S, but mid wasn't doing much at all. When we realized they had both outmatched, we rushed N. We ran out of puss and backed up. Now, help came from N via crem and falcon. Gekko took on mid and was doing quite well. We beat them down enough in N to maintain flags. All flanks were won, tagger holding or on their way. And that's how we won! Top dmg and kills was falcon i think!
Ill be posting this same article on both forums, no need to re-read. I'd like to thank most of the coons roster for making us actually care about winning. The whole team did a lot, but s special thanks to gekko, cremisi, ksi, falcon, and val. They played the most games and stuck with us.
We have a revamped team going into mwc, hope to see you there!
