I love sports and I am a passionate and hardcore fan of many teams but thinking of my greatest sports moment it was a struggle between Jimmers magic year at BYU and this. www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbn3rOPmR9wThis is why soccer is the greatest sport in the world, this moment still gives me the chills. BYU Basketball/Football, Niners,SF Giants, Sac Kings, USA Soccer till I die.

Joe Carter's walkoff homerun in game 6 of the 1993 world series. Probably the best moment in Blue Jays history.

Liverpool coming back from 3-0 down at half time vs AC Milan to tie. Then win on penalties.
Also the Isner vs Mahut match at wimbledon a couple of years ago. Truly epic.

I'd have liked to watch the Tsonga vs Raonic marathon match from the other day... missed it.

Joe Carter's walkoff homerun in game 6 of the 1993 world series. Probably the best moment in Blue Jays history. Ugh. As a phillies fan, I hated that. I still remember hearing everyone shout in anguish at the same time - all up and down my street in Philadelphia. My fave moment was probably going to one of the '93 world series games with my dad. Curt Schilling pitched an amazing game. Phillies won in a 2-0 shutout. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1993_World_Series#Game_5

Yep, Schilling was an amazing pitcher. I think I remember that game. Guzman pitches really well too. I was glued to my seat for the entire series.

Liverpool coming back from 3-0 down at half time vs AC Milan to tie. Then win on penalties. I knew you were a limey cocksucker, but a Liverpool fan on top of that. That is just too much. 2004 American League Championship Series between the Red Sox and Yankees with the Sox coming back from 3 games down to win 4 straight. Game 5 was probably the best, the longest post season game in history and Big Papi singling to center to win the game. Game 6 of the 2008 NBA Finals was awesome watching the Celtics stomp the Lakers 131-92. Muhammad Ali lighting the Olympic Flame at the 1996 Games in Atlanta. Too many to name in other sports, but I will say, this may be the greatest moment in sports:

Pedro Martinez's 1999 season. Where he dominated during the steroid era and no other pitcher in the league would even be close to his stats.
23–4 with a 2.07 ERA and 313 strikeouts. Triple Crown Winner. (Was robbed of the MVP award by 2 voters that left him off the ballot completely)
He also had 2 no decision's against the Indians which should have been wins, but the Indians demolished the closer of the RedSox in multiple games when Pedro kept them down.
He dominated the all star game striking out Barry Larkin, Larry Walker, Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire in a row at the start, and struck out Jeff Bagwell to end the 2nd inning.
Pedro Martinez was the sole reason the Cleveland Indians were also eliminated from the playoffs that year. They had the most dominate offense seen in ages and the only team to score over 1,000 runs in the modern era of Baseball. Half of the American League's All-star lineup that year was composed of the Cleveland Indians position players. In game 1 of the series he pitched 4 scoreless innings and was forced to leave due to injury. In the 5th and deciding game of the series it was 8-8 in the bottom of the 3rd inning and an injured Pedro Martinez came in and did what no other pitcher could do he held that lineup scoreless for the rest of the game with 8 strikeouts, allowing the RedSox to win it. And went on to dominate Roger Clemens and the Yankees giving them their only loss of the 1999 post season.

Regular Season pirates game, double header,
down 8-2 going into the top of the 9th with 2 outs and a man on base.
Everyone said lets go, people are swarming towards the exits, another horrible loss for a shitty team.
I said lets stay, I had a good feeling.
They load the bases, Grand slam, and just keep scoring runs.
Final score 10-8 pirates.
Que fire works, one of the most amazing comebacks ever.
