yea well there is no such thing as a single time that is good for all 24 time zones on the globe there flat. you have the least amount of players in that area, so it is the most sensible.

I played a match in the last winter tournament with shef who is considered pretty average. so i am pretty sure you have no idea what the hell you are talking about. nice name drop though bro.

I really liked playing now. I am looking forward to the next tournament. Too bad it might be hard to get me playing by then, when it happens. Here are several obstacles:

And the great obstacle..: Making a forum account to register to a team. Or to ask to be registered.

Though, it would be good if there would be a tournament soonish. That way people are still in GREAT CONDITION SKILLWISE! Having practiced so much in the last weeks/months for mwc. That's several games for lots of people. We should enjoy this peak of skill.

Also, mwc 2003 was still quite great. (There was some talk about mwcs in teh other thread).

One more suggestion (this is oddball one, and will not probably work):

There is a small roster, captain and a few others. Then the games can be filled by substitutes. Those people win the tournament with most wins-losses (with maybe some kind of winning ratio involved). Even team core members can play in other matches.

This will not work though, even though I think people are not obsessed with winning anymore (or don't care too much about placement), and people aren't gay enough to ruin other teams' games. And also it would not be fair to everyones. I would play for "bad teams" as well, for sure! (As much as for others...).

This is not a well defined idea.

Obv I'm not around enough to sway opinion, but I'd like to brainstorm on some kind of scoring system.

Here's what I'd like to encompass:

* show & play at five specific Match time "zones": Fri eve, Sat afternoon, Sat eve, Sun afternoon, Sun eve. Exact times can be determined later.

* if you show, you're in the draft. Those that show will determine how many teams there are.
If > 19, team size minimum is 5, maximum 7
If < 20 & > 16, team size minimum is 4
If < 17, two teams of up to 8 players

* according to the number of teams, all players will vote for captains

* at this point I'll assume the captains are gentlemen and can settle on a draft order without the need for a rule

* drafting will go up, then down the draft order, so if there are 4 captains, the first round will go 1-2-3-4, second round 4-3-2-1, etc until all players have been picked

* you can play in as many matches as you want; player scores will be averaged

* to ensure fairness, except for captains, no player can be given less than 10% (after wight healing)

Since there's no barrier to how many games you can play, dummying will be assumed to be malicious in intent.


There's multiple ways to score players. I would favor letting each player privately rank via pm to a TO their teammates' score from 1-5, or publicly if they don't care.

Make MWC 2013 Kickball style and be done with it. Everybody says its fun and awesome, and really like 3-4 people DONT like the idea. So *cruiser* them and lets do it allready.
I have seen about 4 or 5 kickball style games in 14 years of playing myth online, even though people LOVE it and its *cruisering* awesome.
Just do it for fucks sake and stop whining about nit picky bs.

really cruniac I wish you would just shut the *cruiser* up for a change. MWC is MWC and its full of cheaters dummiers, liars and fuckheads like cruniac. Asmo. You either live with it or move on like the majoirty of mythers have because of the questionable "stacked" teams. I refuse to let dipshits like cruniac who have no life anyway other than feeding his guini pigs in his mums basement play on my team. Ive let people like kirk, liger, paris on deer before and were alright.

Bottom Bracket Fallback sucks shit and needs to be changed to a degree For Australian/Japanese players. Top bracket is great however.

My implimentation for 2013 would be to have a gigantic pool, have every player number 1-50 ect and get the host to roll some dice next to his table.

For isntance if the first roll was 14, the 14th person listed is on team 1. Then the 2nd roll is 8 and that person is on team 2 ect untill all the players are exausted depending on how many teams/pools can be done.

Then have the host decide who is the highest baller/most active person on the team and go with it.

Of course this will never happen cause its too complicated and the host coudnt probably be fucked doing this.

This has never been done, so dont make it complicated. 6-8 captains pick from a pool of players asmo provides. The pool should be in snake order.

Alternative:

Auction Draft. You can bid points for certain players. Do you want 2 heavy hitters and shit? or do you want to fill your roster with solid top to bottom player? etc.... that could make things much more interesting. Each cap starts with 200 points, and you gotta fill your roster with it.
