Starting this September!
FFA League will be held every week on Thursday (day is subject to change when I get my final class and work schedules) from 6 to 9 pm server time (EST)
ALERT: This is more of an ffa night for FUN than a super-competitive tourney style thing.
The format will be winner picks map, highest dmg picks game.
All stock maps will be used, along with the following map standard:
Magma TFL Mappack
projectmagma.net/downloads/TFL_Multi/
TSG Mappack
tain.totalcodex.net/items/show/tsg-map-pack
Zak Pack
tain.totalcodex.net/items/show/the-zak-pack
Green Acres
tain.totalcodex.net/items/show/green-acres
Phoenix Rising
tain.totalcodex.net/items/show/phoenix-rising
Leagues from Nowhere
tain.totalcodex.net/items/show/leagues-from-nowhere
We might add to the standard if the league or particular maps prove popular enough.
Each week will also include a featured map. Requests will be considered and priority will be given to new FFA map makers who want to showcase their creations.
Scoring will be as follows:
This will be a PLAY TO WIN league. Points are only awarded for wins only, no silly walk off the flag shenanigans. 10 points per win.
In case of tffa, all members of the winning team receive 10 points so long as all teams have an even number of players. If teams are uneven, a point is subtracted for each player less that each opposes teams possesses. Conversely, a point is added for each player more than each opposing team possesses.
For example, if the winning team has 2 players in a 6 start game and all the other teams have 1 player then 5 points are subtracted and each winning player receives 5 points. If the winning team has 3 players and every opposing team has 1 player then 10 points are subtracted and the winning team receives no points (i.e. theyre playing just for stats or something). Inversely, if the winning team has 1 player on a 4 start and all the other teams have, say, 5 players, then that guy could conceivably end with 22 points!
I will keep a running total of each player's points and post them in this league's thread in the mariusnet forums. Dummy if you want I guess but I’m just going to go by screename, I have no time for investigative journalism. Next MWC season we might have a seeded playoff including a wildcard pool for those who couldn’t get up on the boards or only play during the summer.
If anyone wants to get involved in this let me know, could use a substitute host/point tracker.
HF! ;D
