Myth Power Rankings 2012 edition week 1
I was dead tired finishing up, so hopefully it's somewhat coherent. I hope you guys enjoy.
Four matches this week. T-Cox vs Time Wizards was rescheduled to next week. Two matches were sort of worth watching. Two matches needed to be watched at 16x speed, and that took too long as it was.
1. South Park – Paris’s team remains in the top spot. We all have a good idea who their players are, but until they stop with the fake login shit, I’m not wasting my time giving them a review. Defeated Gru 5-0, will play Deer next. Can’t wait .
2. My team brought to you by Grim – Did more than squeak by R3, but a few mistakes here from Grim’s team or better play there by R3 could have made this a lot closer match. They were taking it to R3 in the first game until a nicely placed duff shot by Mark took out two of Tirri’s fetch. It made the game a lot closer, but a combination of Arz flanking and tirri pushing on the South Midd flag while hitting R3’s north flag gave grim’s team the win. Tirri had very good game awareness by working two needed flags at the same time. There was an awesome preplanning conversation about dummying in the second game. A few players said they we’re dummying as Zak, I wonder why Karma was quite during that conversation?? The unawesome part was Grim’s team getting outplayed by R3 in the second game. The third game was more what you would expect from the match, Grim’s team just slowly pushed all three flanks until R3 collapsed. Rat did try to get a steal by taking a trow and some meele in Grim’s team backfield for a full Flagging, but Grim’s team good game awareness allowed them to reinforce a flag with enough units to hold off Rat. Once again R3 was outplayed in game four while rat (3 HG’s, warrior pack) chased tirri’s 3 HG’s around while the rest of R3 got mildly defeated (pack of warriors could have made the difference). Zak I mean Karma dropped in game 5, grim’s team was lucky to win game 5. Grim’s team had their best players show, and fielded a full squad. Even though they played the toughest match of any of the true contenders, this was not a convincing win, and shows that they are vulnerable. Defeated R3 4-1, will play Ageha next week. MVP – Tirri- was a driving force for wins in game one and three. Arz was the runner up. LVP – Karma (the fake one) for enjoying anal without lube.
3. Name Changers – I had to watch this match at 16x speed. NC defeated a bad and confused Deer team. NC showed with 4 then 5 ppl toward the end of the match. Not sure what their team size will be week to week. Didn’t really watch the games, just enough to see that they raped deer all five games. Defeated Deer 5-0, will play Time Wizards next. You don’t get MVP’s or LVP’s playing Deer.
4. Thundercox – N/A. Rescheduled game with Time Wizards to this weekend. Play Time Wizards and Gru next.
5. Dragon Army (R3) – Fielded a large squad, and put up a good fight against Grim’s team. You can see watching the games that they are a bit overmatched skill wise, and are out of position at times against a very good team. The lmoth game was less about position and more about just fighting, and it was the game they played the best. If they improve their in game positioning (awareness) they could surprise a team above them. Lost to Grim’s team 1-4, will play Rode’s team next. MVP – Mark - impressed me with his overall awareness and solid play. LVP – Cremsi – Got pushed around by Tirri in Game three, and suicide zerks in game 5.
6. Rodekill’s team – They played a game but significantly lacking AGEhA team. Had four players for most of the match until Monty showed up later. Overall no one played badly, but only Honkey stood out as an impact player. I have lots of notes for Rode’s team, but nothing really good to post. Most go something like this: Rode is making a good push, playing well, oh he just got wighted and lost two fetch. Or: WWO just got both fetch pussed like a noob, but he somehow saved them because terry decided to retreat after pussing them. They would make a good play then a bone headed play & vice versa. Defeated AGEHA 4-1, play R3 next. Their win was more from bad AGEHA play then something they did to stand out. MVP – Honkey – Just like Mark, he impressed with skill and awareness, was the difference for a couple of games. LVP – No one really stood out as bad.
7. Time Wizards – N/A Rescheduled game with T-Cox to this weekend. Play T-Cox and NC next.
8. AGEHA – I was wrong to praise ageha’s teamwork. They played decently; it’s just that they were out of position on so many occasions. They had Gingas’ souls on a rock formation down south the whole game; it was like he placed them there and went afk. It’s hard to win when you’re fighting 2 fetch vs 2 fetch and souls. That’s where their team broke down in game one. While Ginga was guarding the southern rock against ambient life, the rest of his team was playing against more enemy units. That is just an extreme example of units being out of position for Ageha, they would have one player (Terry the kid) retreat for no reason while another fought two different forces. Their teamwork is really just not a receipt for success. They did wight two of Rode’s fetch. They won game two more from Rode’s team lack of coordination then anything they did outstanding. They played the wrong game three map. Game three was an evenly matched game that could have gone either way. Being out of position bit them in the ass again in game four. Just as R3, it wasn’t so much that they were overmatched skill wise; it’s that they were out of position on to many occasions. They will drop in the rankings from this game. Lost to Rode’s team 1-4, play Grim’s team next. MVP – No one stood out at all for Ageha. LVP – Team awareness, every single one of them showed bad positioning at one point or another. They also don’t like to give Kabuki more than 10%.
9. Gimble R Us – I only watched the first game, and it followed the same pattern as the deer match. At least they showed up with a full squad. Lost to South Park 0-5, play T-Cox next. No MVP, LVP Gru.
10. Team Deer – They sucked and where confused, not sure in which order. They only had four people and that’s with picking up a sub. It was funny to watch the game in fast forward with the overhead enlarged for this match. The Deer dots were surrounded and systematically eliminated in a matter of seconds for each game. Deer lost to NC 0-5, play South Park next. No MVP, LVP Deer.
