I was reading the achievements and noticed one included veterans. I didn't realize vets.were.allowed in tourney games. Confirmation?

List of bad achievements for grim:
*Be the captain of a team that gets tagged out in territories while not being down for more than 20% - 1 point
so a team with 1% left that gets tagged out vs a team with 17% left gets -1? *cruiser* you grim.
*Successfully Wight the "game targets" in Stampede or Assassin - 3 points
What clarifies the game targets? One target? How many targets. *cruiser* you grim.
*Kill a a Trow or a forest giant by using nothing but spiders or ghols. At least 60% of the trow's health must go down like this. - 1 point
Are you going to be calculating this 60%? Why should I trust you? *cruiser* you grim.

Get a veteran unit with 10 kills. I guess by that you just mean by unit survives game as opposed to unit participates in next battle.

"vet" in this sense has nothing to do with the game setting and just means vet as in has some kills.

It would be awesome to play WITH vets turned on, but im sure that the team that lost would have just 1 person leave post and rejoin, thus making all vets go..POOF!
Persistent vets in myth would be awesome. As in, if new people join or rejoing they DONT go poof.
